TRANSPORTATION

WEM has many years of experience in forwarding goods and is thus able to solve complicated transport problems.

WEM's services in this field begin with advice on choosing the most favourable forwarding route, e.g. sea or air freight, and deciding on the port of destination and the necessary packaging.

WEM has negotiated special terms with a number of shipping companies and airlines, making it possible to provide transport at reasonable rates. More and more goods are increasingly shipped in consolidated containers because of the favourable cost of this method of transport.

WEM takes care of insuring the goods and, if necessary, handles claims for damages. WEM also advises partners overseas on customs and import regulations and helps them to obtain exemption from customs duty.

Once the goods have arrived at the port or airport of destination, WEM can take care of customs clearance and transport overland, if so wished. In a number of countries WEM cooperates with local church purchasing agencies and forwarding agents who deal with these formalities and arrange reliable and reasonably priced transportation.
